The first betting interval, or round, starts when the player to your left makes a bet of 1 or more chips. Each player in turn must either call (match) the bet or raise it. Once the first betting round is over, the dealer deals three more cards face-up on the table. These are community cards that anyone can use to form a poker hand. This is the flop. There is another betting round and then the fifth community card is revealed in a final betting round called the river. The players then reveal their hands and the person with the best five-card poker hand wins the pot.
